Re: I'm sure it's already in the offing...

Hence why its the South East Conference, playing for a cup. Its just that the 7 teams are playing a "league" style fixture list.

Re: I'm sure it's already in the offing...

Nothing underhand but I am deliberately not shouting from the rooftops about it (yet)

Basically, I got talking with a few of the other teams at our level last year and agreed this year we would carry on playing each other but add a bit of a framework around it. Obviously a Cup as we cannot have Rec Leagues *ahem*

So, we agreed 6 teams was a realistic amount (5 home/5 away) as any more and the fixtures just wouldn't get played and there was no point to it all.

At the moment Bracknell Blizzard, Slough Scorpions, MK Rumble, Chelmsford Chargers, RAF Odiham Stomp/Vortex and us are playing in the South East Conference. I got agreement at the AGM this was something we wanted to do as a team in the first place though.

So, any games against these teams will be Conference and anything else (or above 2 games) will just be challenge.

At the moment the Conference looks like this:

Team                  P    W    D    L    GF   GA   Pts
RAF Odiham            1    1    0    0    6    1    2
MK Rumble             0    0    0    0    0    0    0
Medway Madness        0    0    0    0    0    0    0
Chelmsford Chargers   0    0    0    0    0    0    0
Slough Scorpions      0    0    0    0    0    0    0
Bracknell Blizzard    0    0    0    1    1    6    0

Hope that clarifies

Re: I'm sure it's already in the offing...

I assume you have this sanctioned by TB then wassa? as I mentioned when you first said about it last season.

If so, there is no problem with running this Challenge Cup competition.
